I just got a view of a really cool input invention. It seems a bit like magic and could be the next way of using gestures to give input to your mobile. Could it even be something for the next iPhone? I guess it could, but it is actually Microsoft that is behind this one.
Instead of using "touch", the technology called "SideSight" lets you make movements with your fingers outside the phone, i.e. on a table where it is laying or in the air next to it. Quite amazing. I am sure it will be a while until we see it commercially available, but the idea seems be worth exploring. See for yourself in this article in Gearlog.
